A quirky-looking gingerbread man, now beloved by all. He ran out of stock, only for TY to play into his popularity and bring him back. Those big eyes, that red nose? Adorable.

Cookie, the Beanie Baby, seen as either a keychain, or his cousin, a plushie named Nutmeg.
When did the meme pop up?
On Dec. 13, an X user posted “saw this guy and said Ew ew ew ew ew ew ugly and then felt so bad i cried and bought him.” Now, Cookie has been adopted by people all over the world, accompanying them to work, sporting events, lunch, and more.
Where is the meme?
I’m seeing Cookie on X, but he could be other places as well.
Why is the meme?
Cookie is a little bit ugly, yet blissfully unaware of the horrors in the world. We all want to be loved despite our flaws.
